bzgnyc - (October 18, 2004) I've now installed three WGR614v3 and one WGR614v4 routers. The first (a WGR614v3) worked perfectly -- it was so easy I didn't know what to do and it worked well. I bought two more -- and also got v3 models even though the website suggests that v4 and v5 were already in the field. That might have been for the best since the one v4 router that I tried seems deficient. I only had problems with one of the WGR614v3 routers. It had the annoying habit of freezing -- especially under extended Internet load such as viewing streaming Quicktime movies. Sometimes it would happen after 20 or 30 minutes and other times I wouldn't experience the problem for several days. After finally c

hsimms - (April 27, 2004) The only problems I have had with this router were in set-up. Be sure to download the latest firmware BEFORE you install the router. I tried to set mine up and it would not let me connect to the internet after the setup process. I tried taking it out of the system, but it had changed some settings in the setup process and I couldn't find the changes. I still could not access the internet even though I was connected directly to the cable modem. I downloaded the latest firmware from another computer and installed it. Everything then worked fine. ehalbritter - (July 25, 2004) I'm a 5 year veteran in IT. Although I prefer a CLI to the GUI interface, this is simple enough for the non-technical. I decommissioned my Cisco AP340 for the Linksys WRT54G to take advantage of the 3-in-1 (Access point, router, 4 port switch). FrankTClark - (04/17/2012) We have 4 Promise Technology VTrak M610i being used for streaming 14 channels of 12MB/sec video. Heavy use, works great. Occasional problems but this is about the VessRAID 1840i. We installed two of them and immediately began having problems. We are currently working with technical support but let me warn you. Under demanding situations the VessRAID does not perform well. Reads are slower than the VTrak and writes are horrible. Writes slow down the reads horribly. If tech support cannot help us these drives are useless.Stick with the M610i

robcan - (01/24/2012) My situation may be unique with over 18 devices but I'm pretty knowledgeable about this stuff and still can't figure out why various client wireless n adapters drop. Biggest problem is with the Linksys wmp600N and an RALink based adapter in one of my lenovo laptops.
