tweb24 - (August 11, 2004) I purchased this DVD recorder so I could put all of my home movies onto DVD. I chose the Lite-On All-Write model because I was fearful of what would play on the majority of my DVD players I had already owned. The first time I recorded I used an Imation DVD-R, and it worked perfectly on 3 different brands of DVD players as well as my laptop and desktop computers. This is the format I will use for now. The system did come with a DVD+RW which I used to test various situations out. If I didn't have Tivo I would probably use this more to record my favorite shows. Also, for you Tivo users, you are able to transfer a show to DVD. Just go through the menu saying you are going to transfer to a VH

jonathan7 - (October 31, 2004) I have to admit, after reading some of the reviews of other entry level DVD Recorders (and the problems people encountered), I was not sure I was ready for the step up to a DVD Recorder. Then I saw the Liteon LVW5005 at one of the major Warehouse Clubs for a great price. It also featured All-Write technology, which means it would write to both of the major DVD Recordable media standards (+/-). Since the Warehouse Club had a good return policy, I decided to give it a try. I couldn't be happier with my decision. I found unit setup to be easy, and user guide documentation good. This Liteon model has great screen display interfaces, making internal setup also a breeze. Most impressi

dvdirv - (May 11, 2004) The DMR-E85H is a great improvement over the previous model, the DMR-E80H! The hard drive is now 120GB which gives you 213 hrs. in EP model, up from the earlier model with only 80GB which only gave you 106 hrs. If you wanted 120GB hard drive, you needed to spend $1199 for the previous model. Now this model has a list of $699.99 with even more options. The TV Guide On Screen feature displays the channels and time just like a cable TV's preview channel. You just click on the name of the program and the program title and length and channel is automatically entered. The best part is that this is all free and operates through your existing cable channels. No need to connect via phone
TVDeficient - (03/15/2012) I have owned the CM7400 for less than 60 days. IT'S USELESS. It has not been working AT ALL for the past three weeks. The problems started 2 weeks into ownership / use. It acted as if the remote control button were being pressed all the time - scanning through channels. I contacted Channel Master tech support via email, and the back and forth between them was laborious and frustrating... asking me one question at a time, seemingly unconcerned with the fact that their delay in response was another day of no resolution. We had to completely power the unit down, unplugging it, and restarting it to get this phantom button pressing to stop. Then it started locking up on us in the middle of shows. Again, CM was slow to respond. Finally after two weeks of back and forth emails and admitting that the unit had become COMPLETELY NON FUNCTIONAL (never once offering to get on a phone call or chat session, after I requested it) they broke down and offered to send me a replacement. I WAITED OVER A WEEK TO RECEIVE THE REPLACEMENT UNIT. The whole time, a non-working unit is sitting in our family room. I plug up the new unit, start to go through the setup, hit the back button to restart the channel scan and VOILA! the new one is now locked up! Power down...power up - nothing. Unplug it... power up - nothing. This from CM tech support "stopping a channel scan can sometimes lock up the box". Seriously??!! You know about this and elect not to fix the unit before going to market with it??I read some very negative reviews about this product before buying it, but elected to buy it in lieu of Tivo to save money on the monthly service cost. I figured "It really can't be that bad. After all, Channel Master is a decent company that's been around a while." Well, IT IS AS BAD AS OTHERS SAY! Channel Master has gone to market with a half-baked product (by the way, the user interface is a real pain to learn how to use, and takes multiple steps to do the most common tasks), haven't fixed known issues, and have absolutely pathetic customer support.HEED MY WARNING: STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT!
Toshiba BDX 2150 Blu Ray player
Jeffplays69er - (02/08/2012) Had the player for 3 months now and I cannot recommend what so ever. Issues with USB movie playing (50% of the movies I tried to play are not recognize when they should be), jpeg displaying ( some jpegs not recognize when they should be), player shuts off after 30 minutes when playing a movie through USB because player does not recognize it is being used so auto shut off kicks in (cannot disable auto shut off), to go wireless you need to get the toshiba wireless adapter ( others won't work and the toshiba adaptor cost just as much as the player if not more). Toshiba has yet to fix any of these problems through firm ware updates. Not worth saving a few bucks to buy this. Pissed off I am! Shame on your garbage Toshiba!!

Spent 70$ on AT&T connect tek to have samsung finally admit they were having same problems with many others around the states. This all after three weeks of denying. No return on my product!
