ctny - (July 01, 2005) SX700 is the 2005 model from Motorola/Giant. (Giant makes all Talkabout radios for Motorola.) This model claims a 12mile range, which is more than the previous 7mile top model from Motorola. (Remember, the range is for best condition, with no obstruction, like on open water.) There are actually 2 talk buttons. When in GMRS mode, the bottom button use 1watt power and the top uses 2watt power. The power boost actually makes a difference. In New York City, I was able to talk 15 blocks apart using 2watt, and 12 blocks apart using 1watt power. The sound quality is very good. BTW, 1 mile is about 10 blocks. FRS is always 0.5watt using either button. When the radio is on, there is a b

rain91 - (May 11, 2005) I have to say, i NEVER would have expected the lackluster quality of this phone after spending $250.00 of my hard earned dollars on this phone. Mcdonalds gives you a better value with its $0.99 double cheese burger than uniden can even start to provide with this waste of space. You might think im being a little overzealous in my opening statement, but you should know that I have not only never had a worse phone, I also have NEVER had a worse experience with a company. Uniden simply DOES NOT CARE about their customers. excluding the above, i will give an honest, unbiased opinion on this phone so yourself and other consumers can make an educated purchasing decision. I purchased thi

tinklerb - (June 11, 2005) I bought the unit 6 weeks ago, because I use bluetooth for PDA, laptop, mouse, keyboard, cell phone headset, etc. I expected the handset to work. It is a sleek design, very feature rich, but after placing the base in 4 different locations, I was frustrated by the < 50 foot range of the handset. When I would step outside on the front porch, or into the garage where there were 2 or more walls betwen me and the base unit, the reception and sound quality was as bad as early cell phones, or a current cell phone on the fringes of the coverage areas. I tried the Uniden e-mail customer support, but for some reason could not get them to understand that I was not looking for product informati

3 Star Review Functional

Bananagrams212 - (04/18/2012) This phone is great for an office with multiple phone lines. It's intuitive once you're in the swing of things and the buttons are easy to find and are large enough to view and press. The ringtones are amusing and the menu is easy to navigate. The actual phone piece is light and has an ergonomically comfortable feel, although you may benefit from using a headset for long phone calls.

1 Star Review Nady MRC-11X Radio

Trailerpuller - (03/25/2012) I purchased a set for 2 bikes. I found the headset cables were no heavier than the cheep headphones you buy in a $ store. 1 broke with in the first 3 rides. The case is less than sturdy. The belt clip began showing stress cracks/fractures in just a couple uses. Controls are nearly impossible to operate with gloves on. Mounting the unit to the bike takes way more work than you would think. Very limited as to how and where you can mount it. The biggest problem was the vox circuit. Whether it was turned on or was not even turned on, the mic would still activate the transmit circuit with wind noise. The company and tech support was less than responsive. In fact, one representative even went as far to say it was my problem and I need to read the manual. I explained that the Mic was behind my face shield and I was behind a windshield as well. Very poor circuit. Very poor customer service. I suggest you invest in another system. I did. I also was not able to give this product it's well deserved half star rating.

1 Star Review Not NEW, misrepresented, Handset does/did NOT WORK!!!

thedida - (11/20/2011) I ordered this product as I am disabled and have had this phone in the past. It made it easy to be on the Bluetooth and walk around.
