Well, I just got one and I can't get anything related to maps to work. All of the GPS functions work properly but there is no map of anything showing up. No map of any kind. It won't let me input any street address. The key board functions don't work in that mode. I can input coordinates (the keypad numbers function fine for that) but NO address entry. So, since I can't input any address, I can't navigate to anyplace. The unit doesn't have a clue where I am as far as a street map is concerned or if it does, it isn't telling me. I'm at a complete loss. So far, I'm better off just asking for directions at the gas station.

Mine works fine and I'm pretty impressed by the options available. There are a few things I wish it had, but it IS an entry level unit after all. Still, it's very good compared to my old garmin gps v. It doesn't seem to have any churches in the POI database though, so I'm thinking of returning it. It also doesn't route the same as my garmin and I think it's because there are fewer routing options. I also liked that I could set gas prices and road type speeds and it would adjust 'fastest route' and travel cost accordingly. This one doesn't. All in all, it's very much worth the $117 I paid for it...

Good - the voice prompts work well. Very nice bright screen and tracking seems very accurate. Bad - no 'save route' feature, no text-to-speech. [doesn't say "turn left on 1st ave." just says "Turn left in 400ft."
